Sensei Mark Tuthill

Sensei Mark Tuthill, two-time inductee into the "United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame" as "Instructor of the Year," has been training in the Martial Arts for the past 29 years and teaching professionally for 22. His training began under Sensei Mike Teto, the founder of Shin-Yo karate and continues today with two-time Black Belt Hall of Famer and founder of Small Circle JujitsuTM Prof. Wally Jay, and Prof. Ed Melaugh. In May of 1996 Prof. Wally Jay honored Sensei Tuthill by naming him Head Instructor of "Long Island Small Circle Jujitsu." In 2000, he was made "Goodwill Ambassador" for Small Circle JujitsuTM.

Outside the home Dojo, Sensei Tuthill has been traveling extensively throughout the US, teaching seminars in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, California, Hawaii, Florida, Oregon and Tennessee.

His international seminars have taken him to Bermuda and also to Prague in the Czech Republic, first in 2000, and again in 2002 and 2004, where he performed for 3,000 spectators at the "Buddah Show," the largest Martial Arts Event in the country. Sensei Tuthill and Prof. Ed Melaugh were the first Americans ever to be invited to this prestigious event.

Sensei Tuthill also conducts women's self defense/rape prevention seminars as well as street self defense to law enforcement officers throughout the country, including those from FBI, DEA, State Police, Correctional Officers and Sheriff's Department.

In the summer of 2004, Sensei Tuthill was elected as the "Director at Large" of Jujitsu America, one of the largest Jujitsu organizations in the U.S.

This year, Sensei Tuthill produced a breakthrough Football Training DVD, entitled 'Centerline Football,' which will be distributed nationally to training camps ranging from pee-wee to professional.
